Exfoliation: The key to healthy skin
Exfoliation is great for treating all skin types.
Acne: exfoliation will aid in clearing congestion within the follicle and it will dissolve oils.
Dehydration: removes old cells and regenerates new, moisture rich cells to move to the skin surface.
Aging Skin: Increases cell turnover and production.
Pigmentation: sheds the pigmented cells more quickly, and when used in melanin suppressants it will decrease further pigmentation.
There are 2 different types of exfoliation:
Mechanical~ Products with a texture to rid the skin of dead skin cells and debris. Examples are grains, powders or a brush.
Chemical~ Products that dissolve the oils and old skin cells. For example glycolic acid and retinol.
For best results it is best to follow a home routine of exfoliation 2-3 times a week and to get in once a month for a professional exfoliation.
